When it comes to music; there is nothing I LOVE more then Sting! ok Sting with the Police.
I found out a few weeks ago the Police were coming to The Gorge here in WA on July 12.
Am I going to miss this concert!.....NO WAY!
Even if I have seen him four times already. Two of those times my loving friends gave me tickets to his concerts. Every time I say "I am going to get front row seat tickets next time", then he comes and I can't. I may be in love but I still have some sense about me....or is that just me being poor, cheap. You decide.
Well this brings me to my next story. Last week I listen to every radio station I could to try and win tickets. I found Mountain 103.7 they were giving away tickets like a count down. 3 days before they go on sale (3rd row tickets) 2 day before they go on sale (2nd row tickets) 1 day before they go on sale (FRONT ROW tickets). I tried and tried and on the last day. I called and I got on the radio. I was SOOOOO EXCITED, my front row tickets are there waiting for me!!! All I had to do was answer the question "bogus or fact." Boy was I nervous, my every wish stemmed on this question. The announcer gets on he said you sound out of breath...so I say, "I'm nervous" (didn't want to go on about my voice). He says, "Relax your next, take a deep breath". I take a deep breath and their it was the question. The question is "Elvis Presley's favorite TV show was Monty Python". "WHAT", I know nothing of Elvis I have no clue, the only Monty Python I know of was the movies, which I have watched and are funny but a TV series.....what do I say..... I want these tickets. " I yell Bogus"......."IT IS FACT". My wish, my dream exciting dashed by this one, question! AAAAAGHHH!!!!!!!
To all of those Elvis lovers I have failed you. For those of you who are not...YOU MUST ALL NOW KNOW ELVIS LOVED MONTY PYTHON THE TV series, just in case you ever get this question you will know the answer, I know I will not forget.
It was a very difficult day to work through. This sad sad story does have a somewhat good ending the next day the tickets went on sale and I along with a few of my friends got tickets but only on the 36th row, again so close....next time I will get front row seats! REALLY I WILL!

OH MAN! So so close! Darn it! This is a great story! I'm glad your going anyway. Hope you have a blast and who knows? Maybe you'll make eye contact even in the 36th row!

I got so excited reading it and I feel like all my hopes were dashed as well. I really thought that you were going to get them. Who knows that much about ELVIS??? Come on, they should give you a real question like"Is the world round?" Better luck next time. That is so cool that you were on the radio though:) Love you and have fun at the concert!

That sounds like fun! Too bad you didn't win the contest. I didn't know Elvis liked Monty Python either.
