Instead I broke away, went to try and see what adventures could come of a NW Mid-singles Conference here in Bellevue, WA. It was the first NW Mid-singles Conference in this area and I decided to participate and support the idea. I thought it went well, though it was a sea of women to a few good men. (The men definitely had there pick).
Friday they had dinner, entertainment (improv group, very funny), speed-dating and a dance. I thought the speed-dating was fun. I got to meet some men I may not have met and some men I wouldn't have wanted to meet. (I remind myself we are children of God. So I must play nice. Who knows some man might be saying that about me)
Saturday was a Breakfast, a few spiritual speakers, Lunch, then onto one of many activities. I chose kayaking on Lake Union. I was very excited, though I have been kayaking before I had not been on Lake Union. It turned out to be a gorgeous day and I was very happy about that. However, with limited men meant pairing up with others. I happened to run into a friend I have known back in the day when I lived in SLC, UT - Dawn. (Sorry Dawn forgot your last name)
We also met a Stephanie from Spokane. (There were more in the group but they had already left by the time I got a picture.)
Saturday night there was a dance which I went to but I was beat from the day. Sunday they had church and then a fireside, the guess speaker was Elder and Sister Pearson. It was a very uplifting and encouraging.
Monday there was no conference so my gaggle of friends and I choose to go on a hike. We went up to Wallace Falls. Now for those of you who know me, hiking is not my favorite thing but I will go and try but I am always at the back of the pack. Starting out it was lovey but a mile in half (up hill) into the hike I was not loving it so much. But I love the pictures I took.

Afterward I went and had a Big hamburger and saw the Indiana Jones 4 movie. (it was ok) I slept well that night!

It sounds like a fun weekend. Your pictures from your hike are gorgeous! We did miss you camping, but I'm glad you had this opportunity to socialize and be uplifted. See ya Labor Day?
Hey Fer,
Sounds like a very busy weekend. I love the pictures from the hike. I missed you so much camping, and I just want to say that if going to those conferences doesn't make you happy, you don't need to go. There are better places to meet men. Do what makes you happy! That is my two cents:) Love you, ~C
Jen-Those pictures were amazing and although there was an "lack" of men, something that is a constant in this life. I loved the activities and it looked like a lot of fun.
love you
JJ
