Nothing like Camping in Stress & RAIN!

Labor Day Week-end..Though I enjoy being & wanting to spend time with my family on this holiday. I had been asked several months ago to help with the LDS Single Family Campout up at Ensign Ranch in Cle Elem area. This event usually will have around 1000 or so people come from all over for this. It has grown over the years and it is a fun event, or can be if you put effort into it. So I was asked to be in charge of Saturday night dinner. The head committee did tell me what we would be eating, they purchased the amount of food & took it up to the ranch. I just had to make sure I had the people there to prepare, cook, serve and maintain the food while serving it.

MY MISSION: Ham, Canned Corn, Coleslaw, Rolls, Punch, Ice Cream Sandwich's, Potluck (from the campers).

I got up at the Camp on Friday (early evening). Met up with a few friends and set up my camp. This camp has A-frame cabins so you don't have to put up a tent. My friends camped in the A-frame and I slept in my car. I LOVE MY HONDA.

Weather: Wet

Friends: Staying Dry at the Lodge goofing off:

By Sunday Night I was tired, cold & wet and decided to drive home after the great Fireside talk. It was wonderful and the whole dinner went well. I got a lot of compliments on how I handled it all. I was even told by the Head Chief that she wished I had done all of the meals. (of course, I was glad I didn't) but I was happy to hear they liked my work.
