It is another Single Awareness Day. However, I have to say I really do enjoy Valentine's Day. I wasn't planning anything this year, but on Friday I changed my mind . I with some friends went to dinner, then to a movie (Valentine's Day), then to the singles dance. I had a lovely time.

Why is it at dances I become a 14 year old again? It should not be that way at 42. You know trying to find someone to dance with or even be interested in. Or how about getting a conversation started with someone of the opposite sex. I don't even dream about being able to give out my number because the men just don't ask for it. Yes, I know some of you are saying or thinking...well why don't you give it to them. Well yes I could do this but I like it when a guy will take the initiative, It helps me know something about his guy. Yes, he did take the initiative to ask me to dance I get it but really it is not that hard is it. (end of soap box)
Any who, Saturday I had to work and a cute thing happened. I was escorting a resident to the hair salon and we passed one of our oldest residents (I'll call her Eve, 102) she is a doll and I introduced the two residents. Eve says to my resident, I got chocolates for Valentines day I would like to share them with you. My residents couldn't have chocolate and Eve's face was so sad so she looked at me and said "will you have some of my chocolate" I said sure and she told me to pick any one. I picked the smallest one (REALLY I DID) and she said no you get two of those I said no that is ok I don't want to eat all your chocolates...she then said No these chocolates are to share for Valentines day. I tell you it was the cutest thing.
That night I went to a Chocolate party with a few of my friends. Some guys were putting it on and the men had to bring Chocolate and the women just had to come. I have to say these guy had the spread of food and as well as drinks (not a Mormon party) but it was fun and interesting. It was a good night but this bring me to another exciting event happening the OLYMPICS.
see my next post! Happy Valentines DAY! Love you my family and friends!

Oh you did have a fun Vday. Good for you. I took four kiddos to church and locked myself out of Krista and Brian's house.
I love the idea of the chocolate party.
I love even more that you are willing to let the guy make the first move-- I concur. If he wants, he'll ask.
I love MOST that you love to dance-- no matter the location. I think you taught me that. :)
Love you, and glad you got some chocolate.
